MUSIC LESSONS AT THE
FAWKS FAMILY CABIN

Jason offers lessons in a variety of instruments including: piano, guitar, violin, accordion, ukulele, dulcimer, Mandolin, banjo, harp, pennywhistle, and others! As a multi-instrumentalist he enjoys the challenge of continued learning himself and feels that the best teacher is also a student. Learning a musical instrument is an exciting adventure! Music is a universal language and brings so much joy to life. It also positively impacts creativity and learning.

Jason and his family live in an Amish built log cabin nestled in Holmes County at Lake Buckhorn between Millersburg and Coshocton. Lessons are given in a dedicated studio in their walkout basement and the setting is scenic and restful. We are a Family Friendly Studio and welcome parents bringing younger children while other siblings take lessons. We have a sitting area by the wood burning stove with wholesome books, a dollhouse and toy corner, and even a ping pong table! So multiple students from the same family are encouraged.

My philosophy on teaching is that taking music lessons is more than just learning the instrument. As a follower of Jesus, I seek to model the love of music that gives glory to God and ministers to the souls of the player and listeners. There are so many positives music can bring to peoples lives: spiritually, emotionally, educationally, and building self esteem. J. S. Bach said "The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul." I couldn't agree more!
